What Networks & Coaches Should Know About PlanterMatch

HOW DOES A PLANTER GET MATCHED WITH OUR NETWORK?

The church planter visited plantermatch.org, filled out the criteria about their location, theology, and model, and got matched with your church planting organization.

HOW MANY ORGANIZATIONS DOES A PLANTER GET MATCHED WITH?

PlanterMatch only emails you if a planter gets matched with 10 or fewer church planting organizations. If their criteria matches with more than 10 organizations, PlanterMatch will ask them to keep refining their criteria until there are 10 or fewer matches (so that you don’t get flooded with planters who may not be good matches).

WHAT DO I DO WHEN I GET MATCHED WITH A PLANTER?

Read through their responses in detail (particularly about their location, church planting vision, and where they are in the planting process) to see if you think they’re a fit. If they are a fit, email them and ask them to take a next step with your organization. If they’re not, graciously encourage them to seek out other organizations they got matched with.

WHEN SHOULD I RESPOND TO AN INQUIRY?

When you receive a matching email, please respond to them within two business days. Otherwise, they may email Fuller asking whether you received their email or not.

HOW DO I MODIFY MY PLANTERMATCH PROFILE?

If you would like to update your organization’s profile on PlanterMatch (e.g. to reflect a different geographical focus, to change the contact person or email address, etc), please email churchplanting@fuller.edu.

WHERE DOES FULLER STAND THEOLOGICALLY?

You can find Fuller’s entire statement of faith here. Specifically, our statement of faith affirms women in ministry at all levels as well as traditional marriage as a covenant union between one man and one woman. However, we also respect that Christians from different traditions hold divergent convictions about a variety of issues. The purpose of PlanterMatch is not to endorse or adjudicate any of these positions. Instead, we are called to convene and connect planters with coaches and networks who have shared commitments and priorities.
