The Great Lakes City Classis was specifically formed in 2014 with the vision to equip, provide leadership, and direct resources towards increasing our effectiveness for Christ’s Kingdom in a three-fold mission. This vision binds us together in mission to prayerfully engage in:
- Church Planting
- Church Revitalization and Re-birth
- Leadership Development
Living out our faith from a Reformed perspective, we know people need to experience the love of God and the power of that love in their lives. Church plants are the most effective means of reaching people who don’t know Jesus. Why? It’s simple: it’s their whole purpose. Evangelism is one of many focuses at an established church, but it’s the primary call of a church plant.
Our denomination is focused on planting 1,000 new churches in the next 20 years. We are focused on planting many of those churches in Michigan and Ohio. In cities and rural communities, people are living and dying without experiencing the power of the saving grace of our God, We long to see people enter this new life and know new churches are pivotal for reaching those far from God. Are you ready to join us?
